Established in 2001 as the Peninsula Agency on Aging Foundation, the Foundation was created by the Peninsula Agency on Aging Board of Directors with a clear vision: to establish a permanent philanthropic partner that would strengthen and sustain the organization's mission for generations to come. The Board recognized that while public funding would always play a critical role in supporting services for older adults, it alone could not meet the growing and evolving needs of the communities PAA serve.
